Rolling professional Development Programme for Managers

Challenge

The management tier in an organisation had not received any comprehensive management training, and each department historically sourced and ran their own management training initiatives. This was neither cost-effective or consistent in quality.

Result

In collaboration with the Learning and Development Manager, we devised a two-phased rolling programme of eight learning modules that were customised to meet the actual and emerging needs of the managers, and was flexible so that each module was run a few times a year to accommodate the needs and the diaries of the managers.

Each Manager completed Phase One modules and then Progressed to the Phase two modules. The quality was high, the managers equipped and better able to solve problems, make decisions, handle tricky conversations, understand, motivate and manage their staff and were better prepared for the step up to leadership within the organisation.
