Development of a Virtual European HR Team
Challenge
Following organisational change and environmental factors, this HR team comprised individuals operating from six different locations who felt disconnected, had differing degrees of experience and loyalty to the team, and one member who was brand new.
It was important for this team to quickly feel connected, align around objectives, understand each other’s strengths and vulnerabilities and collaborate remotely to provide seamless service to the European Organisation of several hundred employees.
Result
By utilising psychometrics, encouraging deeper awareness of self and others, and creating the environment for meaningful dialogue, the barriers to cohesive teaming were identified and resolved.
Agreements were made for remote teaming practices; the new team member inducted and mentored, the team became comfortable with remote working and felt fully enabled and empowered to support the European talent pool.
